To me no.
It's not authentic.
Thought out.
Considered.
No imagination.
Or heart.
Or passion 💚🥰

@jesusredeemedme2425 i think it is highly context dependent. Is it real art? No. But the is ai art debate usually assumes both is it art and should it be used povs. So while i don´t consider it real art, i also wouldn´t fully argue for it being unethical to it´s core (and i say this as an artist). As long as the thing you generate is just for your own entertainment, not to be profited of, is not considered a final product, is not a misinformation or clearly messed up stuff, is trained only by using things either in public domain or consented to by the person who made it, is clearly labeled as ai and users have the option to opt out of seeing ai content on platforms, it should be fine. Because for example can´t really scold someone for generating a picture of an icecream galaxy for inspiration or visualisation purposes, when they did no harm, but people who sell ai stuff as their work should be shamed.
@sadcat13 A thorough answer... I don't believe the conditions you listed, for AI "art" to be ethical, will ever be met. Technology is advancing so quickly that human governments (particularly elected ones) cannot keep up, even for the rare official who wants to regulate it for the common good. Politicians don't understand it...all you have to do is watch any congressional session where tech execs testify before them to know that.
@slowdecline48 yep. I can totally see why they seem unobtainable. But to be honest, a lot of internet today is pretty much just turning into a ***. It´s so bad more and more people are starting to think that maybe going analog isn´t such a bad thing after all, especially with all the monitoring, government over-reach and control on age verifications etc. Genuinely. If i had to choose between giving my ID and not using the internet ever again, i´m off to touching some grass. I lived without internet for like 14 years as a child, and i have no problem living without it again if i have to.
I´m pretty much only person out of my social circle who youtube doesn´t believe to be an adult for some reason, even tho i don´t use it to watch cocomelon lol. And none of my friends just me have an issue accessing some of the content because i keep being asked to verify i´m an adult. I refuse every time and rather choose to live my life without knowing whatever the thing my friend sent me is about.
It means you have a young, childlike heart <3
@jesusredeemedme2425 i thought it makes me a boomer as i have quite an undiplomatic opinion on everything 😂

I meannnnnn… ;)
I’m not sure yet.
Though it does not directly answer the OP question, a certain video is related to the topic...so I'm just gonna leave this here.
