I think art is something that brings us connection to each other over space and time, rather than in person. The meaning of the art can be very basic, practically non-existent, or extremely complex. Because it comes from unique individuals, what a person is conveying in art is extremely varied. It’s the resulting artwork’s ability to bring about a connection in people that matters.

@jesusredeemedme2425 I think it does, but the exact meaning depends as much on the viewer/listener/audience as on the maker, if not more so...it's inevitable. No one can see art without "seeing something in it". Meaning, among other characteristics, is what distinguishes art from mere junk or things scattered randomly.
