ELI5!
Yes, I know that title is confusing lol! It stands for “explain like I’m 5”. In other words, explain things in a basic way so we can easily understand <3
So, explain something, or ask for someone to explain something! I’ll post an example below <3

why do boats float
Density is how much stuff, or matter, there is in a certain space. Things like rocks, steel, and iron have more matter in the same amount of space than things like air, water, and wood. This means they are more dense.
Since boats and other things like them are made mostly of wood and other materials that aren't that dense, they are less dense than the water they are sitting in. When something is less dense than the water, it will float!
This is because the water pushes up around the boat, and it is like an invisible cushion that is keeping the boat afloat. This force is called buoyancy and it is what makes boats float.

neuroscience
Neuroscience is the study of the brain, or the nervous system. It looks at how nerve cells (or neurons) work together to help us think, learn, remember, and do other things. Scientists study different parts of the brain to understand how they affect how we think, feel and act. They also look at how the brain develops, and how diseases and injuries might affect how it works. One way to think about neuroscience is to imagine that each neuron is like a tiny house. When those neurons connect and talk to each other, those tiny houses join together to form a big town. That big town is responsible for all sorts of things, like making us remember things, making us move, and making us feel happy!

qualia
Qualia are the subjective experiences we have, like how something feels or tastes to you. For example, when you eat an apple the way it tastes to you is a quale. Qualia are the individual feelings you experience. They’re hard to explain to someone else because everyone’s experience is slightly different.
cataract
A cataract is when your eye's lens turns cloudy. It's like looking through a fogged-up window. It's normal to get cataracts as you age, but they can also happen if you're on certain medications, have diabetes or have been near a lot of bright sunlight. Cataracts make it hard to see things and can even make it hard to read or drive. Your doctor can do an operation to take out the cloudy lens and replace it with a special clear lens. That way, your eyes can see again.
moat
A moat is a deep, wide ditch that surrounds a castle, fort, or town. Moats were usually filled with water and made it difficult for enemies to get close to the walls of the castle or fort. People living in the castle or fort were safe from attack because the water made it difficult for attackers to cross. Moats also prevented animals from getting close to the walls which could make them more vulnerable to attack.
