If you could write a note to your younger self, what would you say in only three words?
I had two thoughts. 1) Words can hurt. 2) Try your best.
What would your note say?
Keep on pushing!
Don't expect help,
Don't expect faith
Don't expect justice
Don't expect fair treatment
Don't expect rights
Don't expect peace, love happiness equality change hope support truth or empathy.
Don't believe anything anyone says.
Don't bother with 7 cups.
Get used to being alone
Leave at the first chance you have
Exceed all expectations good or bad
Never trust anyone with anything more valuable than a cup of tea
I would tell my younger self to "love yourself FIRST."
I'm a type A personality and a people-pleaser. I grew up trying to please my Dad in everything and unfortunately, my Dad would ignore and belittle me if I didn't follow his ways and his way of thinking. Now, as an adult, I'm battling depression and anxiety and I have difficulty believing I'm worthy of any love at all. It's been a very trying time for my husband and daughters, too. I know that God loves me, but I have a difficult time accepting that, too.
Loving yourself is so basic an important. You have to learn how to do that very early on so you can allow yourself happiness and joy. Parents really need to try and teach their children self-acceptance and self-love, too.
My dearest young, Tsencha. Do not go looking for love for love has always been with you. With your family and friends who care dearly about you. In time, you will find that right person. For now, focus on yourself and finding your strengths; grow from your weaknesses.
There is more.
You Were Right
Well, it passed.
Please don't start
You can do it. Be proud of yourself
