If you could write a note to your younger self, what would you say in only three words?

I had two thoughts. 1) Words can hurt. 2) Try your best.

What would your note say? heart

"Dear younger me,

to begin with, do not follow big brother to the bathroom. He doesn't want to show you his new cream. Also, please don't get in dad's room when mom isn't there. Never get in his room alone. You should talk mom about it. Mom will understand and protect you, you won't ruin her life.

One more thing, when you make a facebook account, keep your ID secret. Don't show your real picture. Oh, please note this down as well; "penis" = "The organ of the male reproductive system through which semen passes out of the body during sexual intercourse. It's also an organ of urination." IT DOESN'T MEAN "PANTS". ...I know it sounds weird, but it's needed.

Hm, that's all. You're going to have a great life, but please, listen to me and don't keep dad's secret. Mom has to know. This is the key to happiness: talking to mom. Don't look at me now, okay? We're actually very cool. Your life will turn out to be what you're dream of.

PS. Give up on Nick Carter. Don't ask why- just do it. It won't end up good (well, this is a dream which won't come true, but there are other boy bands closer to your age).

Be safe,

kisses, older you."

They are all lying to you and no one has your best interests in mind. Don't listen to anything anyone at school says (especially your guidance counselor - he's an idiot). You're only seeing half of the picture. College isn't the solution you think it will be. Be nicer to your parents; they will both help you in ways you'll never imagine. And get help for your depression NOW. Health insurance costs will prevent you from getting the treatment you need if you wait much longer. And Holly is one of your only genuine friends, never forget that.

you are worth it and it will get so much better.
sure, there'll be bad times, and sometimes you'll feel like giving up, but don't ever give up, okay? just try your best, don't be afraid to ask for help, and everything will be okay, i promise. xo
