Little Free Library Gems
What are some cool finds you’ve discovered while going to Little Free Libraries? An amazing book you’ve always wanted to read? A cute bookmark? A geocache attached to the LFL? A bin full of dog treats for our four-legged friends? A little journal attached to the LFL so people can sign it and say hi? Tell us what cool things you’ve found! <3
@jesusredeemedme2425 I absolutely love this post. 💓
I’ve found some amazing gems when venturing to a LFL. One particular find was a seeds drawer where you could take and/or donate seeds and recipes. I found some amazing vegetable and flower seeds back then and exchanged them for a few. It was such an incredible find!
Awww thank you <3
If I remember correctly, one LFL had a “free succulents” area <3
@jesusredeemedme2425 Free succulents?! Oh wow, that's so amazing. 💓
I really hope to come across a LFL with those some day!
Maybe you should make your own. ;)
Have you used the LFL app?
@jesusredeemedme2425 Unfortunately, there isn't a LFL app where I'm located.
Also, that's an amazing idea regarding making my own with some beautiful succulents. 💓
Time to make your own ;) It’s easy! I started one at work in the breakroom and one at the laundromat, both in little bins <3
Time to start growing some plants? Hehe
@jesusredeemedme2425 You’re absolutely right and thanks for the idea. LFL here I come! 🏃
Also, I can imagine how delightful your LFLs are. Keep up the amazing work!
One got shut down by the managers after several years lol
The other one is still going strong <3
Thank you! What would your ideal LFL look like? <3
@jesusredeemedme2425 I’m so sorry! 😥 I can’t imagine how you felt when it got shut down by the managers after running so long.
Glad the other one is still going strong though! It’s such a kind and considerate gesture to be able to bring something like this to life for others. You’re amazing. 💓
Oh my, love that question! My ideal LFL (geared towards my neighborhood) would probably be filled with books of multiple genres, bookmarks, stationary, stickers, toys, little crochet and sewing kits, a skein of yarn and crochet hooks, treats for the doggies and kitties, seeds and definitely some take away plants! It would be stored in some sort of DIY project as well.
