You're very close, the actual answer is E though.
A dot is only carried forward when it appears in the same position in two of the previous three circles.

H thinks it is 29 as the next number would appear to be a twenties number which appears to go up in twos.

There have been sequence-puzzles where that was the exact way of getting to the answer, so well done! 👍
But this puzzle also has an alternative way of solving it that will get you to a different answer, I wonder if someone can find it. If not, I'll eventually just post it.

That's actually true, so I'll accept the answer!
The intended answer was 4 x 9 = 36. Leaving 6 as the answer. But your answer fits perfectly too. 👍

7 * 8 = 56 (Bottom Right to Top Left)
6 * 8 = 48 (Bottom Right to Top Left)
4 * 9 = 36 (3 is there so 6 goes into ?)

What is the value of x?
64 – 12 × 2 + 6 ÷ 3 = x

Order of Operations
Parentheses, Exponents, Multiply, divide, add, subtract
12 x 2 = 24
6 / 3 = 2
24 + 2 = 26
64 - 26 = 38
X = 38

You were so close!
Addition and subtraction have the same priority. So you just go from left to right and do whichever comes first. That explains the difference in our answers.
Answer =
64 – (12 × 2) + (6 ÷ 3) =
64 - 24 + 2 = 42
