I found this quote and thought it would be interesting to share:

I thought this quote was interesting because, to me, it talks about taking back the power to your own happiness. Why would you keep knocking at a door that isn't opening when you could spend your energy working towards another door. In other words, if one path of your life isn't working, it may be time to move on and work towards another aspect of your life.

Well I think as humans we are creatures of habit and we often resort to our comfort zones and places and people we are used to and we often want them to change to our expectations or we want a certain job promotion or significant other who well even though we want those things in our lives they might not be good for us. So to me it means just letting go of control of what you want to happen and being open to new possibilities. It is about having a new perspective, seeing things in a new way. Not just judging and falling into old patterns but instead making use of the new, being optimistic about a new adventure and not clinging to the past.
@warmheartedPlace887 I agree! I think there is a lot of comfort in old habits like you said. Change can be really hard and scary and it's so easy to just fall back on everything we are used to.
It is also about having self accountability and instead of relying on outside circumstances or people to make us happy - rely more on ourselves for our needs and our accountability.
creating a door means it’s up to us to make the best of it and not just like being comfortable with what we have and wondering why the world doesn’t give us more - instead we take control and make it our own.

To be honest, I'm probably going to end up rephrasing what you said, because I feel like you described it perfectly.
But, in my own way, I'll just say that I've had past experiences in life where I kept using the same approach for something(s) to no avail. And it wasn't until I changed that approach that I started getting results. I think, in a way, sometimes we have to make our own luck. :)

Although I've never heard this quote, I've felt it. I have been knocking on the same door my whole life. What's the door you may ask. Well, that door is a way into my father's life. The door never opened but now it's time for me to make a new door and I will walk through it and be strong and show him.

I am not going to continue looking at the past or in anything or anyone from the past. I am moving in the present to get to my future. This is what i got out of the quote.
