I will start with this riddle:
What is easy to get into, but hard to get out of?
Sometimes I'm high and sometimes low,
and I creep between your toes.
My orders come from the sky,
I make men fall and rise.
What am I?

Stranded where the castle once stood, with only a couple of places to go.
Took a short journey to the border, I now see twice as many opportunities.
Stood there contemplating the future, do I risk the safety I have here?
I can double my choices once more, but only by stepping into the heart of battle.

@DarkWolf Oops, multitasking! I MEANT my black kitchen towels, but was staring at my white ones cuz I'm folding laundry. DUH!

I will accept the answer, the original answer is a bit more logical though. That's chalkboard.
The answer to this riddle has a hole in the middle, and some have been known to fall in it. In tennis it's nothing, but it can be recieved, and sometimes a person may win it. Though not seen or heard it may be perceived. What is it?
