Small talk ideas?
What's the best thing to say to someone in passing other than, "How are you?" It's weird for strangers to talk to strangers about personal stuff, so they just say, "Good, you?" even if it's not true.

I just smile, and if they ask how we are where I live, we say, no bother 😂 even if we are bothered 💖

That's a good starter question. As someone who gets awkward socialising, I like to find a common topic of interest - perhaps noticing a peculiar trait of the individual like their hair or shoes or bag and complimenting them on it or asking them about it. I read that the more you ask people about topics they're invested in and appreciate their knowledge, the more they'll be interested in the conversation. Basically you've to express your admiration or liking for someone to keep the chatting alive.
"please remove my mucus glands sir... If that means losing my nose, I don't mind"
Just look at them suspiciously and mutter, “The galaxy is in Orion’s belt.”
That’ll get ‘em every time.
