I have always wanted to live in either the 1920s because of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Or the 1950s/60s because who can deny the poodle skirts

I could handle living in the late 18th to early 19th century...as long as I don't wind up as 1) a slave, 2) a serf [Russia!], or 3) serving in the American Civil War. Am fairly familiar with much of the technology from those eras.
