My personal preference is to play medium complexity strategy games. I will play most games as a social construct in order to interact with people. This is why I own over 400 table top games that span almost every category.

My own are my favorite but i can name them because my name is on the box cover. Outside of that Alhambra was the game that got me interested in modern board gaming. I also like I'm the BOSS, it is advertised as a game about negotiation but that is wrong. It is a game of threats. What is funny is that i worked with Mayfair Games (Now defuncted) for 16 years and didn't care that much for their main product CATAN. Not that its bad. I just don't care that much for trading based games.
I never had an interest in Catan myself, even when all my friends did lol
