@Lavendersubmarine Lol - I had to google what an analog watch was and I was alittle unsure of the rabbit ears - wasn't what came to mind

Try giving them a sony walkman with madonna tapes from the eighties where you jave to tighten the tapes with a hexagonal pencil since the rewind motor on the walkman in too weak. I used to welcome padded earsets as opposed to plug in ear pieces since those made my ears hurt.
If you had a mono cassettte record player then you were lucky to record music from radio and compile your own cassetttes...
Devices had to be taken apart from time to time to clean them of the dust inside and the muck on the heads and pulleys, to tighten the pulleys and belts...
You had a chance to take care of your "gear"

@feelitinyourbones @NoneTheWiser Wow - Sounds like alot of work but Idk - being able to take care of your stuff and keep it working sounds kind of cool. With most of the stuff now being digital it's almost impossible to figure out what's wrong with it if it stops working.
I think a jukebox would be awesome to have too Bones - kind of like owning a part of history

I was always sesrching for silk or velvet rags because they get statically charged easily and were best for cleanig vynil.
Yes tgere was a time when cleaning tapes came and dedicated rewinders, when we passed VHF cassttes amongst ourselves till they disintegrated since there were no rental shops...
When I had to clean the magnets of the speakers from small shards that will accumulate in time...
I remwmber when I constructed my first remote. I used an electrical travel alarm clock and hooked it to my stereo player to wake me up on music instead of alarm. I made my own radio clock when I had none...
And repaired my watch with wire after I took a dive and remembered too late that it was not water proof😂😂😂
@feelitinyourbones That's pretty awesome - being able to make your own clock radio and to fix your watch!
You must be pretty tech savvy to be able to do that kind of stuff.

Nooo, I just gave it a go and in those old times there was no intermet so plenty of time to fool around with gadgets in trial and error fun.
