This is off-topic but I stopped by your profile out of mild curiosity, & felt the need to tell you...
There is nothing boring about liking English lit & world history. Absolutely nothing. Anyone who calls you boring because of your desire to learn, is not worth your time or attention. I got bit by the history bug back in late 2010, have read more books than I can recall since then (quite a few were library rentals), have slowly amassed a small home library--mostly religious & military history, plus some fiction--& I've never regretted it. The more history you know, the less you're surprised by current events. You might even start to not pay as much attention to the news, because you recognize the patterns. In my experience, the only downside is it can lead to pessimism about humanity in general...or at least to considerably lowered expectations. But it's still better than being surprised & disappointed out of ignorance.

Of all the schools I went to until I got my diploma, one shut down not long after I left & two others shut down a while later.

🤷🏼♂️ It happens. A few months ago I discovered that the one school where we had to wear uniforms finally closed its doors in...2021, if memory serves. Between rising rent & inflation, not enough $$ was coming in & it just couldn't keep operating.
