What are your pet peeves (annoyances)?
I'll start with a few..
People that step on you, to make themselves feel good..
Disrespect, not tolerable at all..
Text speak makes my eyes bleed, as a writer, I know people are saving time with shortening words, it's convenient for them, it's just not beautiful to read and trying to guess what is being conveyed is time consuming, I'm sorry, not a fan :)
The wifi disconnecting when you're busy..
Running out of snacks is almost a tearjerker ha
Waiting on people..
Walking into a room and forgetting what the purpose is.. 😕😂
When my hand spasms while drawing XD
@jesusredeemedme2425 Ugh irritating when you're trying to be productive.
Have you looked into those wrist support type thingys, I think now you can actually slot in a hot/cold gel pack to ease the tension.
I had one but didn't think I needed it.. I was so wrong...
Nah, it doesn’t hurt as much, just spasms occasionally. Then I have a random line on my drawing I have to work around XD
@jesusredeemedme2425 Aww ok, fair enough. It probably wouldn't help to do it in a lighter colour or pencil first then, as the spasm can happen anytime.
Ugh bodies, so unpredictable 😂
Right???????
@ScrabbleBrain
I have quite a few, but one of my biggest pet peeves is hypocrisy. Not because I expect people to be perfect—we all have contradictions—but because I value honesty and self-awareness. I can understand mistakes and imperfections much more easily than someone who holds others to standards they refuse to apply to themselves.
Another is people who dismiss others' feelings without taking the time to understand them. We don't have to agree with someone's experience to acknowledge that it matters to them.
On a lighter note, I also relate to walking into a room and immediately forgetting why I went there. 😅 And as someone who loves languages, I occasionally struggle when messages become so abbreviated that I need a decoder to understand them.
Overall, I think disrespect, lack of empathy, and unwillingness to reflect on one's own behavior tend to bother me far more than everyday annoyances.
@TheJourneyOfResilience Those are good ones. It's surprising how many people jump to conclusions and all it takes is a simple gentle respectful enquiry, which is so much nicer, than having to educate someone on your reality.
I'm not the most patient, if someone has this fixation about me in their head and expects me to go along with it...
