An Apology and an Explanation from a former Group Mod
(please feel free to change thread if this isn't the appropriate one)
Hello. As most of you may remember I used to moderate pretty frequently about a year ago here. I did some things right, but most things I did wrong. And I'd like to sincerely apologize for how I behaved and I would like to reach out and offer a hand of friendship and support to whoever I may have harmed in the process.I'm not the same person I was then, and I'd like to make amends for what I did. I made a lot of mistakes, and treated a lot of people in a completely inappropriate and disrespectful manner and I am so deeply sorry for everything that happened. This past year I've embarked on a journey of self discovery and finally realized why what was happening was happening. I was not in an okay place to be a moderator. At all. Everything in my life was extremely complicated and I felt like so much was out of control.. Once I was in control of something I let it go too far. And I'm sorry. Very sorry. Right now I'm back to mainly regain trust. I hope I can be a moderator someday in the future, and show people that I am not an abusive person by nature and I'm in a healthier place and I can be a good person to be a leader here. I hope you all will accept my apology. <3
Love, Eli

@sailorelix Hi there, Ive not had the pleasure of knowing you but deep respect for your post. We all make mistakes and hopefully they are mistakes we try to avoid making again and I think it takes much courage to hold your hands up and to admit to things that may not make us feel good or proud. Good on you for working on yourself and getting to a better place for you. :)
@sailorelix
Hey there!
Firstly I'd like to thank you for your public apology, it demonstrates to the whole community how brave you are coming back and taking accountability for your previous actions, we all make mistakes along the way dear, and that's okay as long as we learn from them, you see, mistakes are like learning curves, they pave the way for our future, and what's perfectly clear here, is that you have taken some time away to reflect on your previous doing.
Secondly, huge respect to you, it takes a particularly strong person to admit they have been wrong in front of a huge community, well done! I'm proud of you!
Take care luvvie and welcome back ☺
@sailorelix
I am so proud and honored to read this. I cannot say how strong and couragous you have to be to write a public apology letter to the whole community members and all. I look forward to working with you on your moderating skills when you do return as a moderator.
Much Love,
Dillion
Glad to have you back <3 :D And so proud of you!
As a fairly new listener I never had the priviledge of meeting you before. There is just one word for your post: RESPECT
Warmly welcome back in the family
