Its World Stand Up to Bullying Day!!!! Come Unite for a good cause
Today is International STAND UP to Bullying Day! This is a worldwide event started in 2008 and is a semi annual event in which everyone who opposes bullying can sign and wear a pink shirt to take a visible, public stance against bullying. The colour of the shirts is based on a campaign started by Travis Price and David Shepherd, two students who took a stand for a fellow student who was bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school.
To support and to take a stand against Bullying, 7cups will be hosting a whole range of events today!!! And we would love you to join us!!! Multiple Communities got together to organize events not only for their members, but also for anyone interested in participating and supporting the cause! We would love for all of you to support this cause, to take part in events across many communities taking part and to help say to bullying.T
To show your support against bullying, we would love if you would show your support by changing your 7cups profile picture to a Pink T-Shirt (see googleimages) and we have a post by @Joe2017 (Massive thanks to you Joe!! <3) explaining how to do this for anyone who is unsure. We would love everyone to come together for our Candlelight Vigil Event to remember lives lost to bullying & to unite together later in the day. For this event, we are kindly asking anyone who wishes to attend to upload a candle in their Display Picture in support of this event, out of respect to those lost due to bullying. During the Candlelight Vigil, we are asking anyone who wishes to, to bring with them a poem of Remembrance/Artwork to remember those lives lost. Those who wish to share artwork please use Imgur direct link only so not to compromise accounts used outside of 7cups. This event will take place @5pm EST @Kates Cove, Hosted by @sweetLily41 & @Rain45 and will be open to Adults. A candlelight Vigil will be hosted by @Diandra for the TeenZone at 11pm EST in the Teen Support Room for the Teens only.
