Mod2Mod Skill Building Sessions!
Sign up to lead a half hour skill building session during our weekly group mod meeting. Your idea will be submitted to Kate and you will be contacted regarding when your session will be scheduled for. Your session may be related to mod skills or a topic relevant to a subcommunity you are involved in that you think your fellow mods would benefit from knowing a little more about. We all have unique knowledge and skills and these sessions will be your opportunity to share what you know. The purpose is to learn more about how we can be better moderators in the group support rooms but to also learn a little more about one another!
Some potential topics to get us started:
- Deescalating situations
- Respect for other mods
- How to lead discussions (staying on topic, mod while leading discussions...)
- Participating vs. Lurking
- Handling Mod Hate
