Support Team Badges - Update!

User Profile: Kate
Kate March 12th, 2018

Thank you to those of you who filled out the poll regarding support team badges and whether they should be given to those that lead discussions in the subcommunity or those that are community centered moderators in that subcommunity.

Based on your votes, the Support Team Badge will be given to those who lead weekly discussions or sessions in that room.

I'll be following up later this week with more information about role titles listed in the SC leaderboards.

@Kate

Hi Kate smiley thank you for this update. I just have two questions, Trauma has always had two co-hosts, both of whom lead the session together and one Mod per support session, to keep the session safe and due to how busy the room is. We can have as many as 40-50 per session, so two co-hosts are needed. So if two co-hosts are leading do they both get the badge?

There are several communities including Trauma that run the Open Chat Sessions. Will these co-hosts also get the badge?

@Amandisa16 That's on Sunday, Monday, & wednesday (and teen open chat) we have ultimately 2 co-hosts and 1 mod per support session, 2 team members for member support, and a mod for open chat. All need to be recognizable as part of the team and part of the function.

@Amandisa16 whoever leads sessions for the team can have the badge regardless of mod or not. The difference is how they are listed in the leaderboard. Since community centered moderation started, modding privileges are tied to leaderboard titles instead of badges so anyone leading sessions for your team (as approved and scheduled by team leader of course) can have the badge.

HI Kate I think everyone who joins a team and DOES a discussions deserves a team badge. No matter a mod or co-host. As these are people who commit weekly to this team. As far as trauma thanks for badge but everyone deserves their trauma badge who leads or co-hosts a discussion. With this team those that have badges makes it safer, warm and the members know and recognise who is the team and who isnt. Please your thoughtsheart
