Teen Community Modding Tips
Heya frendos!!! This is a fun thread for teen mods to share their favorite modding tips!!! What tricks and tips have you learned from your experience being a support room moderator? Don't forget to try out a new strategy that you learned from reading this thread and let us know how it worked out for you!!!!
One tip that works good from my experience is...
if i arrive into a conflict situation and a moderator is already trying to calm the chat, then I take a step back and watch the interaction before getting involved. Joining a room and asking "what's the problem?" can get members attention back on the drama and can make the situation worse. Let one mod lead and give out the warnings while you try to support members who are being overlooked by all the drama. You can also ask ice breakers or say something random to get attention away from the conflict. You can also make your PM's available for support to help make the chat more calm. There's a saying about too many cooks in a kitchen. There can for sure be too many moderators leading in a room. If only one person is leading then there is less confusion about verbal warnings and actual warnings handed out

Yup! I try to do that too. Asking "what's the problem?" is the last thing a mod should when they arrive in the room where a mod is already present and trying to calm the situation down! Thank you for the tips, Sam! :3 ^-^
