What times are most needed?
I just became a group mod, and I was wondering what times are most in-demand, for mods? When is a chat room likely to be without a mod, or when should I check in?
Hi Bethany, it's hard to say which times the chatrooms are in most need of a moderator. I would suggest to pop in during evenings, because that is when they are busiest. Usually, I check in throughout the day when I have a few minutes free and I've noticed that things can be quiet during that time. Either way, it's always good to have someone in the chatrooms stimulating conversation and making sure no one is ignored :)
For more information on the chatroom coverage, check out our Mod Team Schedule. You can pick up shifts anytime you like, even if someone else has signed up for them. I've noticed that not all moderators honour the shifts they sign up for, so don't always count on the schedule for coverage. It's also not required to sign up. As long as you complete10 Group chats per month, you're filling your quota as a moderator :)
