Hello there! Any tips about group chats with anxiety? Like I wanna be there to support others and others to support myself too. I’ve tried the Sharing Circle one and didn’t like how one person got 7 minutes. In my 7 minutes I didn’t even get through my explanation, which left me no time to respond to people. Then, the general? Support Chat, those ones I can’t be in long…. They get to overwhelming (13 + users) and i can’t follow the conversation going on.

Hey there! First off, I want to say it's great that you're getting out of your comfort zone by exploring the group support chatrooms 7 Cups has to offer. The environment is suppose to make sure everyone feels supportive and safe, but sometimes it can be rather overwhelming, I do feel you there! It's always okay to "lurk" in the chats and just observe, if that would make you feel more comfortable.

Sometimes, there are even guided live discussion sessions which tend to be a littler slower pace and typically to have a set script of questions to follow. For adults, on Mondays, the anxiety support chat room opens up. Perhaps that would be a good place to dip your feet in? When I first started my journey in the chatrooms, I selected one more quieter room (for me it was the LGBTQ+ subcommunity) and chatted with the small group of people there.
