Happy Friday, Huddlers! We have officially completed Week 4 on Managing Setbacks. We’ve stopped looking at failures as ends and started looking at them as data points.

Here are questions to reflect on:

  • On a scale of 1–10, how do you feel you did this week? OR For those with daily/maintenance goals, how are you feeling about your progress right now?
  • 1 Win: A moment where you successfully pushed through a setback or adjusted your plan on the fly.
  • 1 Final Pivot: With only one week left, is there one small adjustment you’re making to your goal to ensure you finish strong?
  • Setbacks often happen over the weekend when our routines shift. What is one thing you can do on Saturday or Sunday that will make your Monday self thank you?

I give myself a 10. It will never be absolutely perfect but I really tried my best and it's helping a lot even helping my sleep to focus on my posture for sciatica

Even when tired made the effort to make sure I had my supports

I want to make sure I am pacing still and even though I'm feeling better, not burn thru all my energy, but enjoy the feeling of having it

This weekend I want to try and draw outside with a support pillow

  • On a scale of 1–10, how do you feel you did this week? OR For those with daily/maintenance goals, how are you feeling about your progress right now?

6/10. I think that psychologically, I'm faring well. It's just that with my work set-up, waking up early is not doable at present, and I am not taking care of my body in terms of exercise. I am still trying to look for an activity that will work exceptionally well for me. Hopefully, before the end of this cycle.

  • 1 Win: A moment where you successfully pushed through a setback or adjusted your plan on the fly. I think it's shifting to a different exercise when I can't go on a run.
  • 1 Final Pivot: With only one week left, is there one small adjustment you’re making to your goal to ensure you finish strong? I am trying to come up with a better alternative for going on a morning run. Afternoon run doesn't work because right now here in the middle of the equator it's very humid or other times it's raining, and with the ash plumes from the volcano's constant minor eruptions make it more ideal to stay indoors for the meantime.
  • Setbacks often happen over the weekend when our routines shift. What is one thing you can do on Saturday or Sunday that will make your Monday self thank you? Focus on my mental well-being instead! I've tried to add whimsy in my days because I like that. I will enjoy rest this weekend since work is slow rn.

  • On a scale of 1–10, how do you feel you did this week? OR For those with daily/maintenance goals, how are you feeling about your progress right now? 6/10 - mixed feelings but need to prioritise one thing over another (nods). Prayer helps with any moment of doubt.
  • 1 Win: A moment where you successfully pushed through a setback or adjusted your plan on the fly: I understand my stronger STAR style responses in practice was speaking about the values demonstrated in the action part of STAR.
  • 1 Final Pivot: With only one week left, is there one small adjustment you’re making to your goal to ensure you finish strong? One small adjustment for me is to listen to relaxing gospel orchestral music to fall asleep
  • Setbacks often happen over the weekend when our routines shift. What is one thing you can do on Saturday or Sunday that will make your Monday self thank you?

Gratitude in every moment (nods). Better sleep hygiene through utilising music

See you soon guys - and all the best for next week!
