Hobby Zone Check-In: Week of Oct 17-23 - Do you like to play cards?
Hello all you amazing hobbyists! It’s hard to believe October is half over already! Turns out today is National Playing Card Collection Day. That reminds me of all the different card games we can play alone or with friends or even ways we can repurpose old decks of cards when crafting!
Questions:
Do you have any Aces? All right, I’m not playing go fish, but maybe you could share the “ace” (best) part of this past week?

Oh no, not 52 pick-up! Although collecting can be another fun hobby! Do you have anything you collect?
So, do you have a favourite card game? Perhaps you can make some time to get together with friends over a simple deck of cards soon! Or maybe you can take an old deck of cards and turn them into a new craft?

-I'm going with my family to an immersive art exhibition! It looks super cool, lots of lights and interactive displays, the whole building is turned into this fun work of art. I'm excited 😸

-Rocks, more rocks, and some extra for good measure

-yes! The name I know for it isn't cups appropriate though 🤭

Card games can be fun, though it does seem like playing with physical cards is less and less common.
Sorry to hear that your hand was lacking aces this past week, I hope that things start to turn around and give you more 'ace' moments or days. Perhaps that immersive art exhibition will help in that department? It does sound like a fun experience.
Rock collecting can be fun, do you have a favourite rock in your collection? Or even a favourite type of rock to collect?
As for that "inappropriate" named game... Sounds like an interesting card game... 🤭

♥️ playing with actual cards is so much more fun than anything else, I love sitting round a table late into the night with friends or family playing game after game
️ I'm hoping the art exhibition will be fun, but I'm nervous about sensory overload so we shall see, I'll have headphones at the ready to try to help a little 🎧
♦️ my favourite rocks to collect are always the ones I collect with friends, so they're not really anything special but the memory of the day is. We go to the beach together and find each other pretty rocks, and varnish them later so they stay shiny
♣️ my theory is the less appropriate the name of the game is... the more fun there is to be had lol
Although calling it a game may not be totally accurate, my favorite is tarot cards! Next to that would be magic the gathering :) but those can both be expensive hobbies, so I’m sticking with my three tarot decks lol
