Best baking tip or recommendation

One thing that helps me bake is making sure that I have all of the necessary ingredients and equipment on hand before I start. This helps to prevent any last minute trips to the store or having to substitute ingredients, which can sometimes impact the final outcome of the baked goods.
To get in the spirit of baking, I like to listen to music or a podcast while I work. This helps to make the process more enjoyable and can be a nice way to unwind after a long day.
As for a baking tip, I would recommend always following the recipe closely and measuring ingredients accurately. Baking is a science, and small variations in the amount of an ingredient can have a big impact on the final result. It's also important to pay attention to the oven temperature and timing listed in the recipe, as these can also affect the outcome of your baked goods. Finally, don't be afraid to experiment and try new recipes and techniques – baking can be a fun and rewarding hobby, and you never know what delicious creations you might come up with!
Hmm well to help me bake, i usually watch a cooking show first to gain inspiration for recipes or listen to a cooking podcast 😊 That most often gets me in the baking spirit! 💗 What about you?
@Liv125
Yeah, that is a good point! - What cooking shows do you watch? I find some of the Netflix shows interesting hehe.
I don't do too much to get in the baking spirit to be honest, only thing I do is have Spotify playing music in the background, really helps with my concentration lol 😃
@Liv125 I love cooking/baking shows too. I watch MasterChef (and MasterChef Junior and MasterChef Australia too. Tubi has them) and the Baking Championship shows on the Food Network app. I love learning about ingredients and getting baking tips from them. I'm a vegan baker so I also look at vegan food blogs all the time.

not to be that guy but YouTube lol I have to be sure I’m correct before starting
Season your pie dough before baking. Sweet pies get sugar and spice. Savory pies get salt and spice.
If you're roasting veggies in the oven, preheat the sheet tray for a perfect crispy char.
If you bake brownies and they come out with crusty tops, take cellophane and wrap it over the top of the dish, and cool them that way.
Bake chicken in greek yogurt!

When making shortbread, use powdered sugar (idk my English teacher said so).
