Hey all, Im Juzzy

So how many of you out there consider yourselfs gamers? I know i do, but then how offen are you told you'll never get anywhere with gaming and your wasting your life? I know i was as well.

I like many of you actually got into world of warcraft during the beta, ofcourse at the time you'd never tell your irl friends u did because no one wants to be called a nerd right? :P

Anyway i played wow from beta to vanilla, quit before tbc then started again in Wotlk and recently quit WoD about 7months ago, during that time i met tons of players who felt a similar experience as i did where their irl life was depression and our ingame life was amazing, we are popular and have friends and you achieve something, the feeling is amazing right?

Then you get back into the real world and its constant reminders of how people think you wasted your life with gaming? Now i know they are wrong and i know you feel the same :P so in a effort to fight the stigma and to support other gamers like myself i created Gamers Fighting Depression (reddit.com/r/gfd)

So what are your gaming experinces? What was the best day of gaming u ever had? For me it was finally killing the lich king on 10m hc :P my long time guildies partied hard on raidcall that night, so tell me yours?

@Juzzy

This is such a cute idea! I'm not a huge gamer but I love watching gaming walkthroughs on youtube. However, I did enjoy playing a mmorpg called "Devilian". I think one of my favorite aspects of the game is the dungeons, it's quite fun! I can spend all day doing that! laugh

I love the concept of 'Gamers Fighting Depression' - count me in!

I think one of the best experiences I've had in gaming was playing DuckTales: The Quest for Gold and Prince of Persia on DOS when I was a kid - it is really hard to beat that nostalgia ^^; Actually, I've had quite a lot of great times while playing recently - because of gameplay mechanics or great narrative or gorgeous aesthetics. What comes to my mind right now is Witcher 3, Transistor, To The Moon, Mass Effect series, Tales from the Borderlands... But the most fun moments I think I have when I play my siblings, e.g. in Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine, Chariot or any of LEGO games. Co-op is simply fun ^^

And I agree, watching playthroughs is really nice. It often makes me laugh or calms me down, and distract me during the tougher times, when I can't really enjoy anything.
