Games that positively affect you intellectually and emotionally
Hey all,
I was thinking about this the other day when I was playing Ace Attorney and Story of Seasons on my Switch. It was like the perfect metaphorical marriage between my love for gaming as a hobby, and two games that transcended the hobby itself into being healthy for my psyche.
Have any of you played any games that have been (and felt) legitimately healthy/helpful for you in that regard?
Personally, I love To The Moon. It really made me appreciate all points in my life, the good and the bad. And the music is so amazing. Fair warning though, this game will WRECK you emotions, and tissue supply by the end. XD

Hi!! Ace Attorney fans here too!!
The game that positively affects me intellectually and emotionally is The Last Campfire.
This game is about getting lost and keeping hope. Through this game, I realized the power of hope to motivate and overcome challenges. I played this game several times. Every time it brings me different thoughts about the balance between trying and giving up. It brings a journey of healing

That's awesome!!
And yeah, I saw The Last Campfire on sale on the eShop the other night. When you mentioned that it's about getting lost and finding hope, I immediately felt like I could relate that to so many things in my life.
Chiefly, my journey through trauma has felt a lot like getting (or just being born) lost. Before I was able to start my recovery work, though, I had to cling on to the hope that it *was* possible for things to get better. And thankfully, I was right. :)
Thank you so much for sharing about that game; have any others affected you like The Last Campfire?
Oddly enough, for me, it turned out to be an online casino. Moreover, I understand that this is a high risk, but for some reason, this particular type of game brings me great pleasure. In addition, I decided to play at sweden casino without a license, and it seems to me that this is the best choice I could make because I'm completely satisfied with the conditions. The most important thing is to read the tutorial to start playing on the site.

Hi there and thank you for this post!
I'm going to refer to games I used to play, first. I used to play virtual world/multiplayer RPG (I'm not sure if that's the correct wording) type games on my phone (well, a long time ago one or more were on my laptop). The more recent ones (of that multiplayer RPG kind of game category) were 'zombie' games but I really enjoyed the aspect of being able to talk to other players over mic and being able to develop friendships. And being able to pinpoint those individuals who, without even sharing aspects of my personal life that I chose not to share, became sort of like a support network. I still am connected with some of them even after quitting the game. I stopped playing them a long while back for multiple reasons: real life/game life imbalance, affecting my anxiety, etc.
Now, for games that have felt and been "legitimately healthy/helpful" for me: I find that playing games on my phone that work my mind in some way, redirect my attention while also involving problem solving, etc. have been more helpful for me than some other kinds of games. Some of my favorites are: Logic Grid Puzzles, crosswords, sudoku, variations of card games that involve some sort of 'reward' to work toward. I especially like it, at least sometimes, when there is a multiplayer aspect involved.
Elderscrolls online. The stories we play through end up enticing me to write. The beautiful graphics entice me too draw and paint. Also, I am in a couple mental health guilds. We recently had an open communication circle. Really awesome.
Hey guys, I don't play video games at all. In my view, playing such games as crosswords, scrabble, or wordle is good for the brain and logic. What are your thoughts on this? By the way, here is a great website https://word-finder.com/words-that-start-with/j/, I always look for word hints there.
I really like this game called Kind Words! It’s about writing letters to people (real people) and you answer these requests they make and you can make your own requests and they answer yours. You can also collect stickers and decorate the room and it’s a really nice game and it has really nice vibes and it’s nice to get letters from people relating to you or get advice on certain things
