Today I ordered a new camera.
My old Kodak camera has some problems, and I'm even been losing pictures from the camera cards. I finally decided to try ordering a new camera. I'm also having trouble with my canon camcorder. It has got lines in the lcd screen. I haven't decided what I am going to do about it. I got some of the stuff around that I could send it in to them, to see if they would fix it or not. But I've been too busy and too tired to get around to it.

Despite what is suggested by most websites and magazines about photography (that live on advertising), quite many people (including me) have been using cameras which were produced 10, 15 or more years ago - and they still are getting good results.
Buying a new camera is often connected with buying bigger and faster memory cards and drives, or upgrading your PC. And the best camera, I believe, is not the priciest and biggest beast on the market, but the one you are familiar with and know better than your wife 😉
However, one day we come to the point when switching to a new equipment is unavoidable. I moved from compact cameras to DSL-R or mirrorless cameras after a few years of avid photographing. And sometimes I think how many good photos I could have taken while my eagerness was max and my newer hardware came earlier.

@jacek73 I enjoyed reading what you wrote! I'm don't enough to know if I picked a good one or not. But It seems to have some of the features I want. I will let everyone know once I get it, and see how good it works for me. I didn't want to quit using the ones I currently own. But my main camera won't even turn on without rubbing the batteries multiple times. I tried changing the batteries, and cleaning the contacts but I realized this is getting worse and worse on the camera. Also i noticed that more and more of my photos are getting corrupted. These are good signs that I needed to buy a new camera.
I am still waiting for my new camera to come. I guess it will come next Tuesday.
