Bat Picture Collections 2009 and 2012.
We have little brown bats that help eat up the mosquitoes on the farm.
"Bats can eat up to 1,200 mosquitoes an hour."
For some reason this one decided to take a nap on my paper towels.

@tryingtosurvive2024 sooo cute.. But so ugly.... And terrifying... But cute
😍
@Tinywhisper11 I think these are baby ones. Seems like the baby ones don't have any hair on their bodies. As far as I know they never have hair in the wings. But I'm not an expert. All I know is they do a really good job eating up bugs, and cause of that we don't need to wear insect repellent on the farm.
@tryingtosurvive2024 bats might be creepy, but that's much better than being over run by insects😬
@Tinywhisper11 I agree! And these little brown bats don't suck blood. I got to admit, they are messy in the barn. And they carry bat bugs. Bed bugs and Bat bugs are a lot a like. Fortunately they are easier to deal with because they don't reproduce with human blood, like bed bugs do. All this reminds me of Adam and Eve, choosing to sin, brought a curse into our world. Nothing in our world is completely good. Since we on the topic of Bats. I got some lyrics from a Christian Metal song by Tourniquet called Bats.
Bats, bats, bats
You think they'll hit you, but they won't
You think they nest in your hair, but they don't
Bats, bats, bats
You think that feathers is what they got
You think they are a bird, but they are not
The old adage "blind as a bat", the truth is they can see
But not as good as you and me
Bats, bats, bats
I used to think that God was always serious
And I could walk the fence, I must have been delirious
I wonder if He laughs
I guess that i'm just curious
Bats, bats
(Mexican free tail bats)
The God Jehovah is not feathers, wood, or stone
The Word became flesh and ascended to the throne
He walked the earth like you and me
And dwelling in our hearts is where He wants to be
And dwelling in our hearts is where He wants to be
Bats, bats
