Crayfish Hole
I can't tell you for sure when I took this picture. The computer said 2004. But that could be wrong.
@Tinywhisper11
@tryingtosurvive2024 what's a crayfish?? Why does it have a hole?? Does it not swim around with the other fishies??
@Tinywhisper11 Good questions.
From the internet:
"Crayfish[a] are freshwater crustaceans belonging to the infraorder Astacidea, which also contains lobsters. Taxonomically, they are members of the superfamilies Astacoidea and Parastacoidea. They breathe through feather-like gills. Some species are found in brooks and streams, where fresh water is running, while others thrive in swamps, ditches, and paddy fields. Most crayfish cannot tolerate polluted water, although some species, such as Procambarus clarkii, are hardier. Crayfish feed on animals and plants, either living or decomposing, and detritus.[1]"
"Crayfish dig holes, also called burrows, primarily to provide a safe refuge from predators, a place to molt and rest, and most importantly, to access water for breathing through their gills, as they need to stay moist even when out of the water; these burrows often reach the water table to ensure a consistent water supply throughout changing conditions. "

@tryingtosurvive2024 ewwww! They look so gross 😝
@Tinywhisper11 Yeah, I guess. God created them. Anyways the live next to our pond. That is where those holes are, and they also live in our creeks. 💙
@tryingtosurvive2024 at least you can eat them😋 put them out of their ugliness😂😂
@Tinywhisper11 They have been hard for us to catch. One pinched my dad's finger. LOL Anyways I got eat one of them. 😊
@tryingtosurvive2024 oh no your poor dad😮
@Tinywhisper11 He put his finger in the little claw to see how hard it could pinch. 🤣
@tryingtosurvive2024 he did it on purpose😂😂😂😂😂

@Tinywhisper11 some people got to learn the hard way.
DC Talk
The Hardway lyrics
[chorus]
Some people gotta learn the hardway
I guess I'm the kinda guy
That has to find out for myself
I had to learn the hardway, Father
I'm on my knees and I'm crying for help
Now I've been high and I've been low
I've been some places that you will not go
I never thought there would come the day
When I wished I never would've lived this way
But I've been searching for a long, long time
I thought the devil was a friend of mine
I turned my back on everything that was true
And wasted years that belong to you
[repeat chorus]
It took so long for me to see
That I'm a victim of nature and me
Left to myself I realize
I am the maker of my own demise
But you accept me every time and again
And never mention just how selfish I've been
Why must it always take me so long to see
That I have fallen but you will forgive me?
[repeat chorus 2x]
The warning signs are like flares in the night
Still I proceed my greed is in spite of the fire
I know that's bound to burn
Why is it that I always gotta learn...
The hardway, the hardway, I had to learn the hardway
The hardway, the hardway, I had to learn the hardway

His intelligence is peaking. Already feels bashful about societal upheaval.
@tryingtosurvive2024
It haz daddy reflexes, back at em. It thinks he's the child with the tiny fingers.
@Tinywhisper11
For some reason I imagine lobsters being gentle despite the big claws.. and well.. spiders and such being kinda nippy.
@tryingtosurvive2024
What they taste like?
Scorpion looking things that look like bugs.. probably gonna test like bugs. I imagine of beetles. They taste good?
@tryingtosurvive2024
The cousins I encounter, probably pass through a net cuz they small.
@Tinywhisper11
I think mosquitoes are quite ugly, and that it would taste just aweful. Lol.
@tryingtosurvive2024
How big do they get? I've felt that I have seen them at 2.5 inches only without knowing the species.
@tryingtosurvive2024
They make nests like mudwasps. Hopefully, less lethal.than the wasps of paper
@tryingtosurvive2024
They probably small or decomposing animals righ,? If they leave bite marks like fleas to like dogs and such.. probably make mammals need antibiotics, like fleas ta.
@tryingtosurvive2024
Does it say anything about the PH levels of the water? There's a lot of wood debris, in the area I went too and like I think it's high in salt and acid I assume. I don't think animals go in this place so.. the acid is probably not urine mixture w. It.
@Tinywhisper11
They look motionally like wasps dancing like queen bees for mating probably. It prob look weird.
@GreenEasil00 😝😝

Ugh.. when I use my camera the date gets reset to like the beginning of whenever the company made the camera. I wouldn't know the dates either.
@GreenEasil00 Whenever I store the cameras without the batteries in them they lose the date and time. I got to reset that every time. Most of the time I didn't care. Soon after taking the picture I would create a folder with label and year on it. Then I would drag those files into it. Some of my earliest pictures I didn't do that so much.
In my earliest days, I didn't have any plans on keeping the pictures. I was using them as a way to make connections with people online. I figured they would here today and gone tomorrow. Here I am, 22 years later sharing some of the same pictures I took way back.
