Keeping Fish
![]()
Does anyone else keep fishtanks to help stay calm? I have several and go to them whenever I start to feel anxious. I have quite a few at this point, and love them like crazy. Do you keep fish? If not do you have any pets, that help you feel better when you are upset?

@Jet01 We have a 29 gallon tank with fancy tail guppies right now. We've had other fish and other tanks. They're alot of work sometimes but I couldn't image not having a fish tank. They're very relaxing to watch. I think a salt water tank would be so cool to have. The fish are so cool! But they're expensive too lol
Keeping fish can be a great way to relax and unwind. Watching a healthy aquarium or pond has a calming effect, and maintaining the environment can become an enjoyable routine. One thing I've learned is that creating a balanced ecosystem makes fishkeeping much easier and more rewarding over time.
For those dealing with algae, adding suitable algae eater fish can help naturally manage growth alongside proper filtration and maintenance. I found this guide helpful for learning about different algae-eating species: https://www.protopond.com/blogs/news/fish-that-eat-algae-in-ponds
