Crying behind my smile
I was looking at those photos. The one's they took a day before i faced the worst trial. The beginning of the end. They were all smiling and laughing looking at all those beautiful memories. I couldn't scream. I smiled and i returned it back, broken inside. That day and whatever after happened that only broke me even more and whatever reminds me of that period will never be memories, only nightmares. I really hope i forget those moments. I really do. I hope i can view them as memories. I wish i forget everything.
@loyalBlueberry7653 I hear the pain and heaviness in your words. It can be incredibly challenging to look back at photos or memories that remind us of difficult times or traumatic experiences. The contrast between the external appearance of joy and the internal turmoil can be overwhelming.
Feeling broken inside while putting on a smile for others is a common experience, and it can be incredibly exhausting and isolating. It's important to acknowledge the weight of your emotions and the impact those memories have on you.
It's understandable that you wish to forget those moments and view them as distant memories rather than ongoing nightmares. While forgetting may not be entirely possible, there is hope for healing and finding ways to cope with the pain associated with those experiences.
Consider reaching out to a mental health professional who can provide guidance and support. They can help you navigate the process of healing, provide coping strategies, and work with you to develop a healthier perspective on those memories.
Remember that healing takes time, and it's a unique journey for each individual. Surround yourself with understanding and compassionate people who can offer support during this difficult time. You don't have to go through it alone.
Take care of yourself, and if you ever need someone to listen or offer support, please don't hesitate to reach out.
