Finding Compassion in the Chaos
Today was hard. Maybe not in an earth-shattering way, but in the small, suffocating ways that make it difficult to breathe. My mind felt heavy, my heart a little too fragile. I caught myself slipping into old patterns—self-doubt, self-criticism, pushing people away before they could leave.
But I don’t want to be my own worst enemy anymore. So, today, I tried something different. I took a deep breath instead of breaking myself down. I whispered, “It’s okay to struggle,” instead of punishing myself for feeling this way.
It wasn’t easy. It didn’t magically fix everything. But maybe self-compassion isn’t about instant relief—it’s about planting small seeds of kindness and hoping they grow.
Tomorrow, I’ll try again.
