I feel like such a damned idiot.
Why did I like Japan in the first place?
Why did I fall in love with a nation that is pretty much doomed?
I feel like such an idiot for wasting my time and my life about Japan.
I'll just go back to New York,instead.
Dreams really don't stand up to reality and I can't believe that I wasted my time and my life chasing something so damned impossible as going to Japan,when it's so clear that they will be destroyed by North Korea.
I must be a damned fool.

Is not "clear". History only happens with decisions. After the chaos that Japan went through in their history , trust me, is the last thing they want.
I would be more concerned with the natural disasters that happen there instead of war.
Japan is absolutly fine. More and more people are living there these days, specially english speakers.
Your dream is not dead at all. You just need to work for it and to not believe in something that probably never will happen.
If you speak some japanese, have a clear notion of japan (please not the weaboo notion... I mean actually know the culture) and you think you'll adjust there, then go ahead and follow your dream.
Is 100% possible, only you are stopping yourself from it.
