I made a mistake and I just don't know how to make sense of it really......
I made a mistake and messed around with a married woman, this topic came up during a chat session, so I decided to make a post about it on the forums, because the thought ran through across my mind. You see we were supposed to be ?friends? however it more just like being used. She lied to me about martial status and what was going on. She evn told me that her husband had abused her physically and mentally, I ried to be good and listen and be supportive since she felt that she could talk to me, however she turned that into a love and started hitting on me in the online game that we played together at the time. I eventually did develop feeling for her, and we made a go at it, however when my life started taking a turn for the worst, she abandoned me like everyone else. She lied about a lot things to me, including the fact that I was the only one she we involved with at the time. However she got busted sending naked selfies to another man on the internet, and his wife found out.
I believe in the Enneagram and at a later date while trying to figure out the theme with relationships in my life I determined that she is a type 2 functioning at the lower average to unhealthy levels. The explanation of what I and referring to is below.
Enneagram Type 2 suspected 3 wing
Healthy Levels
Level 1 (At Their Best): Become deeply unselfish, humble, and altruistic: giving unconditional love to self and others. Feel it is a privilege to be in the lives of others.
Level 2: Empathetic, compassionate, feeling for others. Caring and concerned about their needs. Thoughtful, warm-hearted, forgiving and sincere.
Level 3: Encouraging and appreciative, able to see the good in others. Service is important, but takes care of self too: they are nurturing, generous, and giving?a truly loving person.
Average Levels
Level 4: Want to be closer to others, so start "people pleasing," becoming overly friendly, emotionally demonstrative, and full of "good intentions" about everything. Give seductive attention: approval, "strokes," flattery. Love is their supreme value, and they talk about it constantly.
Level 5: Become overly intimate and intrusive: they need to be needed, so they hover, meddle, and control in the name of love. Want others to depend on them: give, but expect a return: send double messages. Enveloping and possessive: the codependent, self-sacrificial person who cannot do enough for others?wearing themselves out for everyone, creating needs for themselves to fulfill.
Level 6: Increasingly self-important and self-satisfied, feel they are indispensable, although they overrate their efforts in others' behalf. Hypochondria, becoming a "martyr" for others. Overbearing, patronizing, presumptuous.
Unhealthy Levels
Level 7: Can be manipulative and self-serving, instilling guilt by telling others how much they owe them and make them suffer. Abuse food and medication to "stuff feelings" and get sympathy. Undermine people, making belittling, disparaging remarks. Extremely self-deceptive about their motives and how aggressive and/or selfish their behavior is.
Level 8: Domineering and coercive: feel entitled to get anything they want from others: the repayment of old debts, money, sexual favors.
Level 9: Able to excuse and rationalize what they do since they feel abused and victimized by others and are bitterly resentful and angry. Somatization of their aggressions result in chronic health problems as they vindicate themselves by "falling apart" and burdening others. Generally corresponds to the Histrionic Personality Disorder and Factitious Disorder.
When it ended between us friendship and all, I closed the book on our relationship and pretty much told her that I never wanted to talk with her or be her friend again. I was going through the worst time of my life and I knew that someone like this could only make it worse. I changed my phone number, blocked email and such, however she sometimes still makes attempts to be involved in my life, I now know that I do not want people like that in my circle of friends because its unhealthy and will eventually make me unhealthy or contribute to leading to being unhealthy as it did before.
I'm not innocent, I made the choice to be involved with her, however I have also made the choice to never be involved with her or someone that has these traits again?. Why cant she leave me alone? She does not love me anymore, and I don't love her, I really don't even like her as a person. Why cant she understand that our lives are separate now, and that there is, no connection between us as friends or otherwise? I really hate the fact that she spread other peoples information around without shame. I have seen her to do it to others, I should of know that she would do it to me.
As a friend I was only good to her when I was at the top of my game and had lots of positivity to offer, now when i'm down and struggling, I 'm not even worth her time. The only thing she seems to be able to do is perpetuate a bad situation.
I really *don't* know how to respond to this. Just... Let it out, man. Get her out of your head. She seems to be taking over even when she's not there. Do other things to get involved in. If you believe she's not worth your friendship, then why are you letting her be worth your thoughts? She needs to know it's over, indeed. Ugh, she'll find another guy. Hopefully leave you alone. Best of luck!
