Looking for Encouragement
This is my first post, so I'm not quite sure what to say here. But I'm trying to work through my anxiety and depression day by day, taking therapy and meds to cope with it, and working on it by myself through small things. On some days, I feel like I have a grip on my life. On others, like today, it's just really slipping past me. I'm trying to focus on myself, doing things that make me happy, but slowly everything I do turns into a nuisance. I know others here are trying to do the same thing, so I was thinking of making an encouragement feed for people to write what helps them when they're feeling low, and how they get through it. Like a small encouragement post to help everyone on here so we can all get different outlooks of support :). Any encouraging support would be greatly appreciated, I'll write mine after this paragraph. Thank you for being here :).
Some things I like to tell myself are to breathe during panic attacks, or days when I feel I can't move forward. Every emotion is valid and important, and it's important to constantly remind yourself that, especially when you feel like you're doing everything wrong. You are important, worthy, beautiful (or handsome), and most importantly, you deserve the all of the good things in your life right now. I support you, you're doing a wonderful job, keep pushing through :)
Hello - I love everythng that you said. The #s that come up on your home page are sometimes helpful, but sometimes you need a little something extra. I believe you are doing a great job getting through the tough times. I don't know if you are spiritual or not, but iI read a scripture passage in my Bible that told the story of Jesus taking a crippled man by the hand and liftiung him up. I imagine that when times are tough for me, I can go to my quiet pace and ask for the same thing. It might be helpful for other religions as well, just to call on that one who gives you strength to stand up even when you are weak. I am not promoting any religion, just suggesting a method that might help when we all sometimes feel helpless.
