Look into the flames and see what they say 🔥
Hi all,
Just wanted to get out something - as women - we have a far trickier task navigating through this thing called "life." Let's not get into the reasons but I'm sure if I could have a parchment to start now it would start with a lot of men and a handful of women are extremely insecure. The reasons are nonetheless endless -
Alongside the masses, I think I keep forgetting as young healthy blossoming intelligent educated woman and it's really important to remind myself this that I am a living, breathing organism, flesh, bone, muscle. My lungs breathe, my heart beats without my conscious control while I sleep, my brain processes all the days happenings during my REM phases, I ache, I hunger, I think, I do. I have dreams. I have wishes. I have probably been through far more in my young life on my own than most people that I could give grown men a run for their money. But what separates me is I don't complain to start a pity party and neither do I become the people who hurt me. I always take the high road.
My life is not something to be played with. Neither am I as person. So why do we as woman constantly put ourselves in the hands of those that are not worth being in our lives? I didn't ask to be brought into this world, and sure as hell, I doubt I'd exit it but I have a right to be here just as much as anyone else and whilst other people don't have time to look at their own vices they are really happy to self-assign some sort of ludicrous God-like role to remind others of theirs.
I hunger, I ache. I have things I want to accomplish whilst I am here in my short time - and yes as a young woman without anything attached to my hip - I can make the most of that. It's a choice I made and will always keep. I can speak for myself and if I choose not to I probably don't want to waste my breath on you. I want and I need. I have been given opportunities but I didn't ask to be born in that position - it was given and I honour that. I have the right to live this one life I have to my fullest however I want.
If anyone else couldn't tell me, I thought I would today.

I have a past, I have a family, I have friends and identity, I belong somewhere. My stomach churns

To the people
Who stole my driving license
Made me miserable in my office job
Forced me to quit my position
Took the flame out of my eyes
Robbed me of my only shelter I fought ten years fighting for
I wonder what was in your mother's milk when you born to make you turn out that way?
All I hope is I don't become like you.
I don't look up to blonde blue eyes women - I can't relate with
I don't look up to completely ethnic women - I can't relate to them
I don't look up to black women - I can't relate to them
where are women like me?
am I rarity?
I'm not in the middle
I'm not completely any one thing
I'm not a typical Asian chav
I'm not a complete WASP
I'm not in any full category
I'm sort of a concotion of my roots and my surroundings
These are the things I chip off
I've got so many questions roaming around in my head.
I've never quit my job twice until I went to see that person. What the fuck?
I've never been such a state until then...
I've never been compelled to act out of character until then....
I mean what the fuck?
I've never had anyone break or take my shit...
I've never confined myself to my room...
This is not me...
