Something I find interesting. The thumbnails for YouTube recommendations on the the TV connected app are still outputting health tips and news in Spanish even if my parents haven't been watching here for ~3 weeks now.

The history of the piano 'going pop' would be an interesting one to trace..
this might be a contentious thing to say but maybe at this point we can start considering the end of the guitar* being relevant in pop, at least in light of the decline of rock on the in-itself-now-shaky-to-define 'top 20' scene.
Sound software really is overcommodifying things but it's not like that dense ~+70 year history of synthesizers is going to fully carry over, now is it?.
* don't feel too bad--it happened w/the sax but it still pops up from time to time outside of the jazz community
