Am I the only one who thinks that looking up movie scripts is something of an adequate compromise btw the trouble of questionable streaming or reading a plot summary?.
It's sad how much of what we think is assertiveness, what we are taught is assertiveness is mainly 'posturing'. It's sad how little assertiveness remains, after we take away what assertiveness was mainly 'posturing'.
=_= When I really think about it I wouldn't be surprised if like 1/3 of all stereotypes, prejudices and consequent xenophobias comes from thinly different 'flavourness' of patriarchy/ 'd-baginess' of a collective societally impactful kind promoting thickly different flavours of posturing.
@Modal0154 people can be both tender and assertive, with changing moods and unpredictable feelings as they process something difficult. Most of the time when people stand up for themselves -- yes, it takes courage to do so. Not really posturing, in my opinion. But idk what you're referencing for this, i'm just sharing my perspective from my own life :) posturing to me is like a 'fake persona.' I feel like to simplify somebody's changing attitudes or processing of emotions like it's just removing posturing would be to take away their complexity. I'm not sure why society is so obsessed with doing this to people anyways. But again, just my own thoughts and no idea what you're referencing haha, not saying i'm right or my opinion is fact. Love your diary, always makes me think.

I'm 'requoting that ' from a 1-24th posting b/c that feeling, that shame of not being, or not feeling 'worthy' of bringing up issues which haven't changed in terms of increasing non-presence/absence since the time you were in your 20's or even teens or whenever the f--k society becomes complacent enough to stop improving individuals* increases as you near 'north of the big 3-0' ..is getting worse for me.
..I'm increasingly ambivalent about chatting w/listeners..true, not revealing your age is justified b/c increasingly the demographics of early 20 something is going to mean barely 2 years after or before 2000, which embarrasses me considering how as fond as I am with relatives of those age groups, the fact that I have memories of experiences of being alongside them as we were in different Piaget's stages of cognitive development yet they were nearly always the only ones I felt comfortable socializing and having rapport w/ with is more than could be said, which 'speaks miles' in contrast to the lack of expected respect, acceptance, belonging/inclusion and responsible attitudes I found among the age group peers I was suppose to click with..=_= I'm an autistic..like you said yesterday 'dworth257' "people will pathologies life phases like it's nobody's business".

In a recent audiobook I have been listening to, about jazz there is a part which I wish I could quote more throughly..would be neat to know, =u= interesting to know what the MLA or APA citation for an audiobook will become a more common thing..there was a part about the supposed roles and purposes for societal emergence for certain forms of art following the cycles of 'traditional'^4, 'avant-garde' and 'neotraditionalist' as some theorists speculate.

The problem is, with new media (landscapes) like YouTube is such is that (a) it's arguable more lucrative in it's 'pure' entertanment element^5 than say it's *edu*tainment capability proper rather than infotainmnet (or at least that's how it still likes to present itself and (b) as such it's still treated as excessive hyper-indulgent dilletante playground for anyone on a global scale less than 219,000 hrs/ a 1/4 century in age and b/c of (a) and (b) it can simulatanously still seen as some wild avant-garde beast too untamed to approach
..but paradoxically hideously reactionary (*cough* 'alt-right' identity politics since last decade at least *cough*) or on an arguably less overtly harmful part of the spectrum you could say that social network based video sharing like Tic toc tries to hard to be like late 00's YouTube when the platform was even more frivolous apparently, with 'America's funniest home video' like excess which apparently helped give 'Vimeo' the reputation as the more serious info/edutainment website..and more recently 'Nebula'

...except..even a fair amoung 'old ppl' who aren't self-satisfied and entitled in their consumption patterns realize this as well, and I don't only mean technologists and commerce experts..if anyone has taken note in the past 2 years alone, streaming services have profilerated into what resembles 'the old model' of subscribing to a specific company's services, the presence of ads is increasing as are censorship efforts like 'COPPA'..statis is incoming and so is arguably what passes, what could pass for 'neotraditionalism' in new media/internet presentation formats..it's also a part of the '30 year cycle' which media undergoes which at this point would include me, had I been a 'new media producing bigshot'.

I hate to think that the apathetic.... complacency and shrugs of indifference are the same 'banalities of evil' w/it's criminally irresponsible destructive inertia, which I saw as a child in the 90's...=_= ...that's why I find it difficult to sympathisize with listeners or grou pchat participants---the illusion that such shlock is immutably part of development, a lie yielded to b/c of the 'sin' of the last generations ignorance...overcoming it and it's intrapersonal grip was what improvement truly meant instead the deluded object-oriented sollipism of money.

There is a significant world of difference btw speculating on new media and say * 'Cartoon network used to be better' complaints.
*I'm Canadian but realize how awesome CN was at one point...but it's the sort of thing which is unhealthy to 'lust after' considering how it would've meant even more lonesome excess screen time as a child.
