My diary Entry
I have always known that patience is the best way to cope and deal with situations. I have always tried to be patient in situations that are upsetting. But I think that this has damaged me more than anything else. Instead of venting out, I always remained silent. It took my ability to verbalize my problems and label my feelings and emotions. Whenever someone asks me what happened to me, I have no answer because I do not know how to explain things and whenever I try to explain, it just makes no sense at all. It sometimes makes me feel miserable, inadequate and helpless. I do not stand up for myself anymore because I know that I am weak and won't be able to change or overcome the situation. I can't digest criticism. Maybe it's not the criticism, it's the way people criticise, It's their way of criticising and talking i.e, harshly, taunting, mocking, and ridiculing.
Hi @Zarram77 It really feels awful not to express ourselves when other people criticize us badly. Sometimes I would love to be silent in order to pass all the tantrums if I talk back. I would like to be silent too. But I'll express myself when some time later and tell them that it's not okay for them to talk like that. They'll understand in most of the case. They maybe frustrated themselves or something bad happened to them which they'll spill over us. It's not good whatever maybe the reason.
We always have us and we should really stand up for ourselves when things don't go well. Be kind to yourself it's not your mistake to unable to say anything. You can take small steps and try writing a diary it helped me a lot. Try to write or tell someone whatever you're feeling even though it don't make any sense. It's completely alright. You'll soon find yourself on the way.
Hope you feel better Zarram <3
@hopezzy You are right. I try to write down everything but it makes me too exhausted to even think about everything that I lose my energy instantly. I even try sharing things with others but what they do is start sharing their own stories instead of listening to me. What I have always wanted is a listening ear so at least I could share and know that there is someone who is listening to me and understanding me. But I am lucky to find a mentor who helps me a lot and understands me.
@Zarram77 it's indeed exhausting to sense all that rollercoaster emotions. But I'm glad you found your mentor! And here are listeners who will listen to you and give you enough space needed to share your feelings. You can always reach out to us! I hope you have a good time ❤️
