Not Sure What to think
Last Saturday was my birthday and my no-contact biological mom tried to text me via a different number to remind me how worthless I am sprinkled with happy birthday. I've been no contact for almost a year and she had to try me again. Growing up she's always ridiculed me for paying more attention to artistic matters rather than wanting to go to school to become a pharmacy technician just to make money. I'm not big into the material lifestyle and I don't want to be another rich Asian woman so I dropped out of college. Immediately she made it clear I was worthless and that she's happy my brother did everything she wanted including marrying someone of the same race. Anyway, I did distance myself but every single time she tries to message me to wish. I know it's not disrespect but damn, it does sting. The last time we spoke before going to contact she said that when she passes away, I will not receive any money because I didn't finish college. That's fine. Keep the money. At least I have my integrity and I am successful in my own way after dealing with a violent and abusive 10 year relationship, getting out and getting help, then meeting and marrying someone who is a dream and not Asian. I guess I'm still stinging because I reached out to her letting her know I won't re-establish contact until she apologize to both myself and my husband. It's been a week and she hasn't so I guess I'll need to change my number.
@Blacklotus83 Wow! Look how strong you are. <3 You have been handling all of this really well, and really setting some great boundaries. I'm sorry your bio mom is treating you like that. :(
