OCD-How do you deal with OCD?

I found out I had a type of OCD a while ago but didn't do much research on it and I'm now struggling with how to deal with it. If you or anyone you know had had some form of OCD, how do you/did they cope with it.

It just got so troublesome. I finally said I'm not going to do that anymore and it worked to overcome the most troubling parts of my OCD.
