Why

July 12th, 2015

Why are people so lonely?

Why are people so angry?

Why is it so hard to ignore the things we are fortunate for?

Why do people desire things that do not cause themselves or happiness?

How do people (children & adults) take pleasure in the pain of others?

because this is a cold world full of hate and jealousy. because parents believe beating lessons into children will work. because we thought we had people to count on...only for them to leave. because we do desire happiness, we just find ourselves to be selfish to want such a precious thing that another deserves.

Unfortunately that is humanity in a nutshell. Jealousyis man's greatest flaw, and to inflict pain onto others are to some people, are their right. Humanity believes it's perfect, that we tend to forget that we too are animals, just dressed in fancy clothes. Words can harm just as equally as any weapon, they can inflict devastating wounds and leave deep scares, mentally and physically. The venom of spite is another weapon that mankind uses to its most despicable advantage, when another has a talent they do not, they will try their upmost to bring that individual down, or because they look different they are branded a freak. What it comes down to in the end is that others refuse to grasp that just a few mere sentences spoken even if out of anger or a slip of the tongue, may stay with that person for life, and whilst a majority may feel guilty of their actions, sadly many people don't.

Do you believe it is humankind's natural & inevitable state?
