If you're interested in the ramblings of a middle-aged man with chronic conditions who, at times, sees things a little too clearly for his own good, then read on.
Sometimes I get political, but it won't be all the time.
I don't mind comments in general but if you're going to differ with what I write, that's fine--as long as you can explain your position clearly & reasonably. Rants, shouting & general incoherence will be ignored or flagged, depending on the situation. Try to remember that not everyone else in this world holds your beliefs.
Every so often I may post art or snapshots of projects I'm working on.
If you're still interested after reading all the above, great. (I do wonder at how much time you have on your hands, though)

It's not bad all in all, but if I had to live it all over again...I would do a few things differently.

It's f***ing uncanny how at one moment you're doing good & life is okay, then it changes so fast & all at once, nothing is working out...
Waking up in the freezing dark, to drain the bladder...then pulling the comforter up again. Lying here with the thirst inside, like smoke off a plate...
Would you say the above is decent prose? Why or why not?
I never thought of myself as any kind of writer...
Ain't it funny how 💩 can hit the fan & bring disorder into your life, until you're as enraged as a pit viper with a toothpick jammed up its an∆l vent...then something works out well, or another door opens to something good?
Talk about a f***ing mixed bag...

Sometimes dreams are the only pleasure there is...
The problem with utopia is if it's ever achieved, there will be nothing left except the survival of the species. People would die from boredom because there would be nothing left to do.
...just a few more days, & all this nonsense will be over for another year.

The journal entry came after I saw a YT video about a sci-fi novel called Metamorphosis of the Prime Intellect...I haven't read it. But I'd like to in the near future.
@slowdecline48 The quote is from Arcane... it is an animated series on Netflix... which is based on League of Legends. I won’t spoil anything in case you decide to watch it.
Since I don't have Netflix, you're not spoiling anything by telling me about it.
The idea of a metal-bodied zombie Jesus is great... 😀 Imagine Christian prophecy playing out in the real world Revelations-style, only for Yeshua to appear as a brain-hungry metal zombie...I'd risk he.llfire just to see that in real time!

According to him "free will" was the problem but he did not take away the free will. Instead, he made one absolute will by merging everyone's will.

@slowdecline48 Ikr!? A hive mind as a solution to human misery... tbh thats not something even the most un.hinged fasci.st leader has proposed (as far as I know). It was genuinely creative.
@azurePond Tell ya what: I'll wait til the series is printed on DVDs, then I'll buy those. I never got into the whole streaming thing. Have heard in the last two years or so, physical storage media has gotten trendy among mills & zoomers. If so then they're catching up to where I've been the whole time. 😆
Streaming formats are great for entertainment media firms (for lack of a better phrase) but for ordinary consumers, they suck. It's just better all around to buy your movies/music/games/etc. for real, keep them somewhere, use them when you want & not pay a monthly fee. For a few years I ripped a ton of stuff from YouRube...this was when there was always two+ sites around to help, so it was easier then. Always preferred to store my vids on a hard drive & upload 'em to my phone or laptop whenever I feel like it.
@slowdecline48 I agree with you about streaming... it’s brilliant for the companies, not so much for consumers. Titles vanish, licences change, prices creep up. Owning physical copies (or even your own digital files) feels calmer and more permanent. No algorithms, no subscriptions, no “this title is no longer available in your region.” I hate it when Netflix does this.
Down to a few hours... Tomorrow is Xmas & then it will be all over. Relief is in sight!
Am hoping other things work out this week as well.
Got a feeling the allergy season of 2026 is gonna be bad...worse than 2023's for sure. I'll have to talk to the doctor before then.
