Tired of screens and noise
Didn't really plan on making another secret catpost but here we go. There isn't a lot of value in it, just some momentary thoughts.
I feel so tired from tech lately. Like. It's not interesting for me. Not having fun with my games, not really enjoying diving into Reddit, not feeling like watching YouTube or listen to stuff, whether music, podcast or an audiobook. I haven't had this kind of an episode for a while, as noise and screens are my default for years. I don't think it's bad, or that it would last a long while, it's just interesting how there is such a thing as enough glowing rectangles for it to bring back the desire to do literally anything else. I'm thinking of helping mom make a cake today or will work on the Christmas cards. I guess my pre frontal cortex really finished baking this year (or at least is getting there soon) And I kinda like that.

@Amanda84 pretty much 😁 we didn't manage to bake today, but I did finish the prototype for this year's (or well last year's very delayed cough cough) Christmas cards. So ready to loose my sanity manufacturing 😁
@sadcat13
Yay, love Christmas cards 🥰

@Amanda84 yessss. Made some newspaper snowflakes cutouts, coloured them with white tempera, then coloured some bubble wrap white that I stamped on the base paper for a texture, added the snowflakes, lined them with silver, made some tiny paper hole punch snowflakes with a shaped hole punch, added them there too, then added a dark blue stripe to the long sides and a dark blue paper across saying merry Christmas lol. So quite a lengthy process
I don't expect you to read this right away, given the context. Just wanted to say I understand completely...the Internet Era is a mixed blessing at best. (Anti)social media addiction is real, especially among younger people. The Internet is not the source of all wisdom even though so many people believe it is. Never make the mistake of thinking it can replace real face-to-face conversation.
One of the best things you can do for your own peace of mind is to put down your phone, go outside, breathe fresh air & "touch grass".
@slowdecline48 absolutely 😊 I managed to make the postcard prototype yesterday and helping out Mom in the kitchen today. Peeled a lot of potatoes, as we are having a "save the food" day, when we go through the fridge, eat leftovers that need to be eaten and cook the things that are urgent (like veggies that are thinking about crossing the rainbow bridge). I also plan on starting the first batch of my grandma's gift (air dry clay snowflakes ornaments) since I want it to be a set of 15 and I only have one 3 slot mold, so need to get a headstart.
