Understanding myself

I have been on my own for as long as I can remember and the fact of being constantly hyper independent did take a toll on me. It took me awhile to sum it up and capture my feelings & experience into a sentence. Since a youngster growing up into adulthood, I still carry this feeling of surviving everyday even when everything in my life is just fine. So this is how that sentence goes,“I wish someone had been there while I was trying to figure myself out, because I needed support—not someone to live my life for me, but someone who helped me learn how to live it.” If you have any feedback or advice or been through something similar, let me know.

@jayyyy06

When you are used to being on your own and doing everything, you are quite strong

And independent.

And capable.

And you can do what needs to be done.

But it'd be nice to open that life up to someone and share those things and be more vulnerable.

It doesn't come easy when it's not something you've been used to 💛
