To Those Who Created Father's Day
Thanks for the unneeded holiday. A day to remind me that my youngest step-daughter stopped contacting me since her mother died. It wasn't my fault, it was natural causes. Thanks for kicking me out of your and your children's life. A day to remind me that I could have received well-wishes today from my olderst step-daugther but cancer took her away from this world a few years after her mother passed away.
Thanks for a reminder that my efforts to be nice to my own father was a waste of time. He never responded to the gift I sent him. It's in part my fault for not mentioning to him that I was sending him something. It's mainly his fault for being such an egotistical bully that even my mom won't talk to him despite living in the same house. It's his fault that I have my brain injury. As karma has it, it's his fault he has his own brain damage but seemed proud to have something that sets him out from others.
Losing my wife 10 plus years ago put me in a sorts of pre-Covid quarantine. The government screw up caused me to lose my Social Security. This forced me to live with my parents a number of years while going through the courts to get things back in order. No money, no transporation meant I was stuck in my bedroom until I could get my life back together.
What kind of life did I get back together when the Covid nonsense started at the same time the goverment decided to pay what was due to me? Now that this is over with I have moved away from the bully father to start my life over again. I have begun finally to reach out to my new neighbors to pretend that I am human. With the heat wave this summer I am back in my own quarantine. To dangerously hot to go out unless needed. Windows covered with foil and/or blankets to keep out the heat.
I'm locked back in my prison again and tired of waiting for things to get better.
