Okay, so I saw a recommended video for me the other day that said, "Why Levi Didn't Go Back to Paradis?" And I went... wait a minute... -thinks back- All this time, I thought the candy handout was for Eldian kids... but no. I was wrong. I peeked in the last manga and I couldn't find any evidence that he went back to the island, and that makes me SO SAD! Uggggh. It hurrrrts. I don't know why this detail feels like it upends my entire experience of the ending. -slowly exhales-
@Akeri WAIT—WHAT?! 😭 I never even questioned it before, but now that you said it… oh no. oh no no no. My brain is short-circuiting. The fact that he might have never gone back just makes everything so much sadder. And the candy?? I WAS SO SURE IT WAS FOR THE ELDIAN KIDS TOO! But now??? I feel like my entire perception of the ending just got shattered. This hurts in a way I was NOT ready for. -screams into the abyss- 😩

😭😭😭😭😭! It makes fair sense though. There was literally nothing left for him on Paradis except nightmares and phantoms in every direction. It's also possible that medical care for his ongoing needs might still be more advanced on the mainland as well. But, errrgh.

For me, I think I started backing Eren when he sealed off the wall at Trost. His grit and determination actually gets the chance to make a real change. And although it was a pretty absurd plan 🤣 he wouldn't give up!
One of my favorite Eren scenes is the raid on Liberio though. It was almost like meeting him over again for the first time. He was definitely intimidating. 😅
@Akeri Honestly... it wasn't one specific scene — it was how Levi always shows up when everything is falling apart. But if I had to pick... maybe the fight against Kenny's squad. That whole sequence was pure chaos yet he stayed sharp... calculating every move. I knew he was the one when I saw how much he cared — not in loud ways, but in those small, fleeting moments. Like tucking a cloak around a fallen comrade or that soft "sleep well" to Isabel and Furlan (If I remember correctly)... beneath all that cold exterior... there's so much heart.
