Seeking an Open-Minded Virtual PenPal Over 18

Hello, everyone! My name is Robin, I am a man from the United States, I have Bipolar & Asperger's, I am turning 24 as of July 2026, and I am seeking penpals, virtual friends, and acquaintances who are at least 18 years old for comfort reasons.

I identify as a goth, a retrophile (1940s-1950s, especially), a furry, and an artist/writer. I enjoy deep conversations about all sorts of topics, dark/dry/sarcastic/deadpan humor, learning about my co-conversationalist, learning in general, and exchanging all sorts of thoughts/feelings/experiences. I am also okay with lighthearted/simple conversations if you do not mind being a mere acquaintance. I do not expect everyday chats, but a person to speak with regularly or irregularly is desired. I can be a late responder sometimes, especially during intense/detailed/long conversations.

Feel free to tell me all about yourself. I look forward to seeing your responses. Have a lovely day!

Some more information about me:

  • Hobbies: Drawing, writing, roleplaying, reading, researching, thinking, analyzing, playing virtual world games (e.g., ToonTown, my favorite, Poptropica Legacy, The Sims), playing card and puzzle games, and watching historical, educational, and absurd videos.
  • Interests: Gothicism, the paranormal, history, psychology, sexology, biotechnology, biology (except for marine biology due to thalassophobia), astronomy, formal language, romance, film noir, adult animation, 1930s-2000s cartoons, 1930s-1960s culture (esp. 1940s & 1950s) sans prejudices, reading about medieval society, vintage fashion and aesthetics, fine art, comics (esp. Disney ducks), anthropomorphic animals (furries), creatures with long snouts/beaks, learning about other cultures, our original characters & stories, art (discussing techniques, sharing artists, suggesting art ideas, challenges, etc.). You can read more by going to my blog on my old website.
  • Fandoms: Donaldism (especially DuckTales 1987 & Carl Barks), Wednesday (Netflix) & The Addams Family, Futurama (need to re-watch it!), South Park, Beavis & Butt-Head, Dead Like Me (I need to re-watch it, though!), Daria (need to re-watch it!).
  • I have other interests, but they're not something I can talk extensively about (e.g., King of the Hill, The Simpsons, The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell, Moral Orel, etc.) due to not having watched them a lot or having watched them in a long time and, therefore, not having many memories of them. I can talk about a lot of things as long as I am able to have enough knowledge about them (including asking questions). I like having large discussions about things (including how someone's day is going and other aspects of their life), so be prepared for a lot of questions.

Favorite things to discuss:

  • US politics from a left-wing perspective.
  • Vintage true crime. (1990s and prior.) Not to glorify/romanticize any of it, but to discuss the psychology, grieve the victims, and speculate.
  • Civil rights and black history.
  • Facts about Old Hollywood.
  • Historical facts from many different eras in general. (Esp. medieval, WWII, Victorian, prehistoric, ancient, etc.)
  • Psychology, biotechnology, "what ifs," extraterrestrial concepts/xenobiology/xenoculture, and similar speculative/futuristic/academic topics.
  • Personal life updates / personal life history (when comfortable).
  • The Disney Ducks.
  • The Addams Family.
  • Futurama & South Park.
  • Mental health issues.
  • LGBTQ topics and history.

I should mention that, according to your bio, you seem to be 2 years under the age of the requirements (you must be at least 18 years old), and because I'm going to be in my mid-20s soon, I'm not entirely certain if we would be compatible based on that, especially for internet safety reasons.
