This stage of my life, I'm settled, I'm content and I don't worry about anyones opinions. I'm all about family 🥰

Yes, being settled is a great place to be!
It’s so wonderful to be free of all the baggage of the past. What was one of the most challenging opinions that you have had to work through?
For me, it would have to be my ex-wife, especially toward the end of our marriage. A major issue that came between us was our disagreements about money.

The hardest thing for me is people thinking they know what's best for me and telling me what constitutes a good life! Being a woman and a certain age, they judge and patronize, without knowing anything and it gets frustrating!

Oh yes … people have such a long way to go 😢
The money disagreements I referred to above were based on the opinions you had to face: if the children didn’t go to preschool ... or ... if we didn’t have a family vacation every year then I would be considered a “bad” parent.
Once I got free one of the things I did to mark my “liberation” was to skip the celebration of a popular holiday. Instead, I just took the day and immersed myself in reading and watching a couple of movies!
Was your “liberation” gradually or did you realize you had to make big changes in order to save your sanity?
